could use some answers...
first off my set up is a y8/a6 mini-me in a 91 si hatch.
-freshly built a6 block- new bearings, z6 pistons & rods, new rings, water pump, oil pump, gaskets ect..
-y8 head-
-a6 intake manifold-
-new z6 dizzy-
-new y8 plugs and wires-
-ebay odb1 converstion kit- including ecu harness, dizzy adapter and vtec subharness.
-phearable odb1 vtec ecu- map for my setup installed from phearable, or closest thing to it.
everything is hooked up properly as far as i can tell and all my grounds are good.
so here is the problem. or problems...
when first starting my car, it turn right over, starts right up and sounds good. but if i turn it off and try to start it again, nothing, it just cranks away. but if i disconnect the negative battery terminal and reconnect it, it starts right up again. like something is getting reset allowing it to start. the only code im getting is #2 for my oxygen sensor which is not hooked up.
i also have a coolant leak from the rear of the block.
i think it is coming from the black coolant resivoir thing *spelling* or the sender tube from the thermostat housing. the car is running hot as i took it out for its first test drive around the block and was in the red when i got back. could this be causing my starting problem? sending code to the ecu?
im still pretty noobish.
i am going to try and go back to odb0 with my a6 dizzy and pm6 to see if it help the starting issue.
anybody have any idea whats up?? has this happened to any of you before. any help would be great as i am getting alittle frustrated.

new development. ecu is throwing code 5, map sensor. i guess i overlooked a vac hose from the map
so starting problem is fixed
. now to sort out this leak.
