Default Wires burned up from my headunit :( advice needed!

Ok so I picked up a 88 ef hatch as a nice dd and we decided to put in a radio. So upon finding the wire harness we find it all farked up meaning some dumb *** was tapping power off of the clock and the gauge cluster for power. So we wired the head unit up and it worked good for a few days than disaster hit. A power wire must have hit a ground in the harness and the car started smoking real bad.

Now three of the wires from the main oem harness from the head unit to the fuse block burned up. What would you suggest the easiest fix ; push the pins out of the harness and replace the burned wires with new ones or try and score a whole harness from a junk yard?

i'm surprised you didn't blow a fuse, make sure they are the right sizes...depending on what wires are involved, i would replace that part of the harness or just run a few new wires.
