Car runs and drives great until I try to start the car when its warm.

Idle goes to 1700 and if I pull back on the pedal it goes to 750 like normal. But the pedal doesn't really move at all...and if I even tap the gas it revs up to 2700 on take offs. It goes away after driving for about a mile. But its pretty annoying and embarrassing trying to get out of store parking lots when im forced to burn the hell out of the clutch.

I've cleaned the IACV and FITV, adjusted the throttle cable. lubed the butterfly. changed my o2 sensor....wtf is it.

I don't hear any vacuum leaks

 

sounds like the throttle is sticking...check where the set screw sits for the throttle stop. mine has a little 'edge' worn underneath from the screw. if you sand it/file it to smooth it out, it might be more consistent

Wouldn't it stick on cold starts too? Doesn't explain why it would "stick" after it never sticking before a warm start at all and then all of a sudden do it after use?
