Realistic value of a very clean 91 Si hatchback.
Edit:
Let's make this a bit more generic.
What have people seen very clean 89-91 Civic Si hatchbacks going for? KBB doesn't do justice for some cars, and I feel that this is one of them.
When I say clean, I mean not swapped, 95% stock condition or more. Clean carfax, nice paint and body, etc. No more than 125K miles.

Kelley Blue Book lists that car's private party value for that year and mileage in excellent condition at $2,600. You may be able to get a little bit more due to the options the car has.
But you arent supposed to make a thread like this.

Well Todd have you tried http://www.kbb.com ? How about looking at other "clean" hatches that have been sold like say ebay or other classifieds?

Yep, I have looked and found very little (in terms of examples). We all know that KBB sucks for certain cars, and this is one of them (look up the price of a 97-01 ITR, for example).
The example is not a K20 swapped car or anything 'odd'.
Other than my research and the online sites, where else, besides the community here, is there for gauging fair market value?
I even wouldn't put it for sale here because the low-ballers would **** me off too much
Oh, and I read the FAQ and I swear I missed the line about 'what's it worth' posts. I still contend that the pulse here is better than some research, though.

I just picked up a mint 89 for 1300 bucks. And by mint i mean it, no rust anywhere, interior is all there, spotless. Had a few minor mechanical problems but nothing crazy. Approximately the same mileage too.
The bluebook in this case i would consider a bit high, for a stock car. I wouldnt have paid 2600. Also depends on if its auto or manual. I wouldnt even pay 1000 dollars for an auto EF, doesnt matter what shape its in.
