Im running a 72mm TB, but its portmatched to my Edelbrock....however my question has become.....Why would you want a really large TB if your keeping your stock IM? It won't flow as well as Edelbrock, AIR, Full-Race, etc

playap you obviously have no idea what you are doing and I dont suggest getting a 500hp turbo setup until you have a clue.

Please, tell us how you really feel.

I think RTW is really recommending that you do some more research. The last thing you want to do is build and invest into a setup and make some costly discoveries. All of which could have prevent if more research had been done properly.

All in all, I'm an NA fan so I won't have much more input in this thread.

That shouldn't have anything to do with your TB/IM setup. I would check your thermostat. They fail shut, increasing the warm-up temperatures. In the winter the car may never fully warm up.

anyways sory for not mentioning that ill be running a str mani that will be portmatched to whatever f**kn tb i go with in the future..( so the question is still, will i get much lag by running a oversize tb on my stock R??. oh ya and as for having a clue,, sure im not the honda grandmaster witch pootie or tootsie or whatever claims to be.. but i have done several B, D, series swaps in numerous hatchs and rebuilt a couple trannys. hell im running a cable ls tranny converted to hydro b16 gears i had laying around and a quaife lsd.. not that it matters here but ive built a couple v6 and 2 v8s.. as for my 500 hp mark that i dont have a clue about i didnt want to mention the motor cause i didnt want to start a huge paragraph like this one and it was a pretty simple question to begin with but here it goes..... DART b18 block with ls eagle crank, grp rods, ross 84.5 low comp pistons and if im not mistaken that makes me a 2.2ltr,, jg pro series built gsr head .. turbonetics t70.. nitrous kit if i need it... and all of this i own and need to accumulate the rest so i can start building ... YA HEARD

That would mean they fail open.....the thermo is closed until pressure(heat) opens it, so if your car never reaches normal operating temps, I too would replace the thermo.

hey douchebag...

I dont care if you built the space shuttle, you have no fuucking clue what you are talking about. there is a lot more to turbo lag than just the size of your fuucking TB/IM. and congratulations on having such extensive experience in building motors WOW that motor build sounds like every other mad tyte built honda motor on this board nobody cares. and in case you didnt know fuuckface there is a FORCED INDUCTION forum where this thread might be better received. oh and good job on letting us know exactly what setup you had in the first place so we could better assist you. I told you once and Ill tell you again YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT YOU ARE DOING so take your shitbox car to the FI forum. YA HEARD!!! fuucking moron.
