nice vid man. Same mounting points as your old set up?

I didn't like the road conditions today, discolored and too dirty today IMO. I haven't seen GMR like that for a while.. Still had fun regardless though.

Looks like a nice road... a little too straight for my tastes though.

I wish I could get a camera and film a ride on some of my local roads. They are similar in engineering to the roads down there, but far less populated with cyclists and other vehicles.

What camera are you filming with, and what do you recommend for a beginning filmographer?

yeah, i'm using the same bracket to mount this camera. i have some other mounts but they require a few more mins. to setup... i'm just way to lazy.
the road was a bit dirty, i think it had to do with the brush they've been cleaning.

ha! yeah that guy with the 997 turbo is always up there. that thing is putting down like 575 or something, atleast that's what he told me last time i talked to him.

dvr, 520 sony bullet camera, mic (still trying to figure out where to mount it).
really basic setup, but higher quality then the camera i recently sold.

to straight? aha! i recommend the Samsung SC-X300L for a beginner setup, it's what i owned prior to this. it's a really compact system with tons of potential. the only thing i didn't like about it was the mic, it was integrated into the "bullet/external" camera, so wind noise can become a problem if you're wanting to pick up the motor.

Great video man, I really like the new camera, gives a much "crisper" image, should prove for some new really good stuff.

Keep it up, you make the best bike ride videos out there IMO, roads part 1 is still by far my favorite.

i'm slow. the guy in front me is on a K6 750 (i think) on michelin power race tires. the plan was to record him, but he didn't exactly wait for me to setup for me, and took off before i was ready. i tried catching up, but was already out of my comfort level for riding canyons, so i didn't really try. my pilot powers weren't having it either and were sliding a bit too... save that **** for the track!!!

Holy ****, this guy went down on an extremely fast corner, I've spun my car in the exact corner at right around 100 and nearly shat myself. Pretty amazing he only had a few broken bones going down at those speeds.

yeah. i like that vid. it has some cool editing. it looks like he went a little to wide and used the front mid corner and tucked the front end.

yeah its really a terribly fast corner, there is a ton of run off, so even if you are too hot the best thing to do is stay in it, but its also very easy to get spooked and lift/correct mid corner. A lot of fast guys (at least in cars) go flat out through there, so In my last session of the day I tried it too, got spooked and did a very light lift, but it was enough to unload the rear and put me into a glorious spin. I got super lucky to not go off at all, let alone sideways at high speeds. Quite a few cars end up on their lids there
