Default My New Car (as of 1 month ago lol) 2000 GSR

I bought it from the original owner is the Dc area. He's spent his money wisely on it with nothing too crazy or ricey. car was at a little less then 107k miles but now she's over 108k...i love driving it. Used to have a 2000 eclipse gt, learned real fast that that car was a piece of poop....it was also missing VTEC! haha. anyway, on to the pics. would like to see what you guys think my next mods should be. since i got it i've bought a skunk2 full catback. lowered it another inch and a half. intake should be here in a few days. i plan on getting a mugen style front lip, tint, would like some 16's....other then that i dunno.

The original motor is the b18c....not b18c1... kind of interesting.

Looks beautiful I'm sooo jealous of your interior ...

Some nice wheels and an OEM lip would really set it off nice. I might even lower the front a tad more if I were you.

Best of luck!

Hmmm seems fishy that the block wouldnt have the C1 stamp...as far as I know, only true JDM blocks comed stamped as B18C. But the car looks like a great base, and if youve got no mechanical problems with it then I wouldnt worry about it.

one of my friends said that the first letter of the vin represent where the car was assembled. said since mine started with a "J" that is was in japan, so i thought maybe it was built originally with the jdm gsr...course i could be a dumbass and have it all wrong, anyone know the truth to that? i almost want to trade these rims to someone for the stock blades...or some bronze 16's. i have no cash though now so i'm just trying to let these wheels grow on me. i want to go lower but the resonator in the exhaust system is sagging like 2 inch off the ground so i need to get that raised..or cut off hehe. thanks for the compliments!

Clean car
The b18c is a jdm motor as stated above. It had to have been swapped.

all three of my cars, DA DB8 and DC5 all start in J. and all have US motors.
that J has nothing to do with your motor being original. if its a b18C its been swapped in
Oh and for the love of god, no mugen style lips. just get a damn itr lip or Si-vtec, comptech, JDPengineering.com anything of quality construction. If it cost 99 bucks or less its a Piece of ****

If your asking about mods then Id say your rims look good the way they are, I love thos rims. Id hold onto those and until I saved up for something in like 1.5 grand range. Unless you dont like those rims, But I do

The mugen lip will look great on it, thats the lip Im looking for. Where you looking for a real mugen or a knock off? And if knock off where and full bumper or the half lip? I dont know which one looks better, Ive seen a really shitty mugen half lip and Ive seen one nice knock off but his latch was broken so it hangs on one side so Ive yet to see a nice knock off.

Other then thinking you should keep your rims or go BIG, to the mugen lip. Id so xnay on the tinting. Unless your looking to smoke in your car I think tegs looks sexy clear, especially black tegs. Also id say get a type r spoiler, Im tired of all the spoilerless tegs around. They look sexy, but Id rather see more r spoilers. mmmmmm

Good luck

yeah, i forgot to mention i plan on puttin a type r spoiler on it. i was lookin at gettin one of the mugen knock offs on ebay for 75 bucks. haha. i like the mugen style because it stays low the whole way across, i dont like the type r how it only lowers the sides. thanks for the compliments. i emailed the old owner to find out what the hell is the deal with the motor. haha

great news. went to a friends house last night and my buddy's ex showed up. when she went to leave she backed right into my car. ill start this off with pics i took earlier yesterday...and end with the pics of the car now.

and now.

Took it to get the estimate today and it came to around $1800. you can see the curb rash on the wheel. i was parked next to a curb and she hit me and pushed me into it and it bent my lower control arm while [freak]in up the wheel. but im gunna try and just sand out the rash and polish it up. the girls dad is paying for everything and he is paying 125 for the rim, so hopefully i can fix this one and pocket that change lol. car will be outa service til next week. [freak] teenage girls who can't drive.
