car dies when a/c is turned on.
after getting my eg from paint in miami, i hit the a/c and the thing died on me. popped the clutch and got it running w/o stopping, but the phrase "in the ghetto" popped into my mind. my a/c hasnt been serviced, well, ever. would that solve the problem?

Did it sqeal any when it died, when you hit the switch? Thats a odd thing to happen, only thing i can thing is that the compressor is trying to lock up? I i/m'd you about NOFX.

i didnt hear anything over my music and my noisy axle. so idk. i moved the tab over and then it died.

Are you idling low? There's an AC idle up circuit, if it's uplugged, the AC will bog your car down and you could stall. Make sure the AC pulley isn't seized.

my idle roams bc of a vac leak i have. damaged head gasket. ill check the a/c pully. that might be it. hell, i might even remove the whole unit since i never use it.

ive almost gotten my eg back to stock specs; just need a new pre cat 02 sensor, new HG, and put my stock head and IM back on. then a new pair of axles so i dont have to listen to the RRRRrrrrrRRRR of my bad cv joint. just need the time to get it all done.
the a/c just happened to be an inconvenience considering it was 102 degrees that day.
