Default the death of a loved one need some advice

it breaks my heart to post this. i have been reading and learning on HT for quite some time,in fact i built and fixed her threw all the advice on HT. helli didnt even know about all the JDM stuff. i have modded and built this CD6 over the course of 4 years. she was an 1994 LX 5 speed with 93,000 miles on her with factory supplied 4 wheel disk brakes and ABS.i was almost done, just paint. so i was drivind down my street and this lady blows a stop sign(i had non so i was doing about 35mph)and she smacks me directly on the rim bending it and killing my whole passanger side suspension etc. the thing is that since i was doing 35mph when she hit me i slammed nose first into a delivery truck. no air bags deployed since it was a high hit(im lowered 2in.) i was fine no injuries, she left in an ambulance because her air bags deployed and she had no seatbelt on.my question is how does an insurance adjuster figure out how much i should get for the car? i took most of my aftermarket parts off except the full suspension, intake, header, cat back. i have no reciepts and no stock parts to replace them with. srry if im ranting on just had to vent blue book value around here is in good condition 3200. nada is like 4200.
in just trying to see if i can get another accord and built it or just give up on it. the lady was driving a 90ish dodge intrepid and lost her front bumper(it was loged in my door) srry if the pics are to big.
3rd pic accross the street is her car
thanks for all your help.RIP my beloved CD6

What advice are you looking for?

I will tell you people would pay well for those intersection lights. At that price I would take the insurance buy out and transfer your parts.

They take the current market value of the car.

Without receipts you won't get any money for modifications, and a lot of insurance companies will not cover that even with receipts without a fight.

Use KBB with your area and be 100% honest on the condition of the car prior to the accident and that should give you an idea of the retail value of the car (not private property)

So the best you can hope for without receipts is the value of the car. And since it's an accord and nothing special - you won't get more than it's retail value.

And low-mileage accord you'd have to look around.

*edit*

This is one of the reasons I've collected receipts of every mod I've done to my car in case it's in an accident. If you have paperwork showing how much stuff was you're good. Insurance companies will argue with you even if you do have the receipts.

ah ok so i should be looking at retail price then? if so that takes me up to kbb retail value of 5200. accords are extremly popular around here, dealers sell some of them for over 6k. i know about the reciept thing but i bought most of my parts off of friends.i kept the complete front bumper and switched all my jdm parts onto my friends stock accord including the rims, its not bent just some chunks of metal missing.i do think that i will try to buy back the accord from the insurance company then take suspension etc off and part it out. thanks for the help.
