89 si dash into 90 std
I went to the junk yard the other day, and saw a 89 Si, i looked inside and looked at the dash and that the gauge panel was boxy(mine is more round). Im wondering if the 89 Si dash will swap into my 90 civic hatch(STD)? and will the Tac, speedo, stupid lights work??? if can please help
as long as the 89 si you're referring to is also a civic then there should be no problem. Just make sure to use your existing wiring. The reason the bezel looks different is cause the gauge clusters changed in 90 to a more rounded shape. Just use the appropriate bezel with the appropriate gauge cluster and you should be set
Yes, but it's a little more complicated than that. On 88-89's, the hazard light switch is instead on the steering column. Also, as far as I remember, you have to repin a few wires to use the cluster. Also make SURE you get the metal things that hold the cluster to the dash. They are different.

Yeah i forgot bout that. OP it would probably just be easier to use your existing '90 cluster and gauge bezel or if you want a tach, find a 90-91 si cluster.
