Clutch pedal too high?
When I shoft or whatever, and let off the clutch, it doesnt engage untill im almost completely off the pedal, like a 1/2 inch, then there is the free play in the pedal. Its really annoying, cause Im not used to it, and it seems recent that its been like this. So when I go to press the clutch in, the rpms drop right after i press the clutch like an inch. any idea why? this is a new clutch, plate and flywheel, toda, act. Has almost 2k miles on all the parts
anyone? i dont want to go to adjust the pedal just yet. seeing how its fairly new. I dont know what damage it might do to the throwout bearing, etc. just wondering if this is normal for a new clutch?
I dunno...the Teg's clutch engagement seemed a little high when I first got it. Seems OK now...check your clutch fluid level, you never know. Also, a Haynes manual can help you out with little items like clutch adjustments. They're nowhere near as good as a factory manual, but definitely worth twelve or thirteen bucks as a basic tuneup companion.
i bought the hayes manual many months ago. and got my helms like a few weeks ago. The clutch master cylinder and tranny were replaced too. so it cant be that.

as long as it fully engages your fine, if you dont like it adjust it a little to be lower, whenever the master cylinder is changed the exact engagement point is going to change. it took me 4 adjustments to get it to where i liked it and it fully engeaged
edit: just make sure you dont make it too low then it wont fully dis-engage, but youll know
