Default how do i quiet an exhaust?

ok so about 6 months ago, got pulled over for loud exhaust..went through the referee crap but still didnt pass. the guy was real cool but my Megan Drift Spec exhaust blew a 96db test with the silencer in. so what can i do? is there any way i can quiet this exhaust down a bit at least so i dont get pulled any more. i love the Megan and want to keep it but its sooo loud.

Default FV-QR

Add another resonator? I would order the resonator online and then take it to a exhaust shop to have it installed.

Thats the best way to go, Its basically like adding a second straight through muffler.

You live in Cali. It's a given that having a loud exhaust will get you pulled over.

Why not just buy a quieter exhaust and be done with it?

Three choices:

1) You could sell your current exhaust and buy a new and quieter one

2) or you could buy a resonator and have a muffler shop install it in your current exhaust.

3) Go back to stock. Don't get harassed and drive quickly and silently.

#2 is kinda ghetto and there may not be room to add another resonator cleanly. The problem with your current exhaust is that it has an 'N1' muffler, and those are always going to be loud.

Again, you live in Cali. You should have expected this with such a loud exhaust. And to be honest, I don't think a Megan exhaust is worth dumping a lot of money into just to quiet it up.
