Default Water Issue..

Well, for some reason whenever it rains the carpet in my 02 ex gets soaked. I have looked, but have no idea where the water could be coming from.. It seems dry around the sun roof.. I have lived with it for awhile, but now its starting to get old very quickly. Has anyone else had this issue?

I JUST HAD THIS PROBLEM!!!!!

Check your firewall. One of the rubber plugs that goes into the firewall leading to the inside by the ECU may have come out. It took me three days of rain to figure this out and now i have to figure out how to dry my carpet out without losing a day or two off work.

If you cant find it i could maybe take a pic for you with my blackberry and send it to you or something. Let me know!

I hope this helps!!!

I've got the same issue. Passenger side carpet gets soaked (well...not anymore bcause my car has no carpet now....or sounded deadening.....really actually nothing except bare floorpan.)

but I do believe, from what I've heard and figured out, that the water either enters from the firewall or somewhere up near the windshield.

still haven't pinpointed it.

Its not the windshield. Its where the rubber plug that has wires running from the engine bay to the ECU. if it was the firewall by the windshield you would be able to see it and my floor pan wouldnt be soaked after going through ONE puddle. haha.

The drain tube for the a/c could be clogged forcing it to build up. Eventually it leaks into the car.

I did a good look over and have no idea where the water could be coming in.. I don't see where the wires run through the firewall either.. Anyone have pics?

I just got a new windshield installed on my car and when it rains it shows a very small drip coming from the top passenger between the roof and the plastic cover. I'ma take it to the guys that installed it and see what they have to say about it. Sucks that you can only "present" the problem when it rains...

I have the same issue, and it was due to a new windshield, but it happens on the drivers side for me. Luckily the car RARELY sees rain.
