Default A/C blows warm air if car sat in the sun!

I had my HVAC controller and thermal protector changed in October. Picked the car up at night after it had sat in the cool night air for a while and tested the A/C unit and it blew cold air. Obviously it's not really that hot in october and the immediate months following so I never really noticed the A/C blowing warm now.
Now it's BLAZING outside and my A/C is blowing hot air and I can't take it. Is this a common problem?
I searched the forums and didn't find this question addressed. What are some tell tale signs to know if this is something other then my HVAC controller?
I have a 02 EX civic

have you let the A/C run for a while and see if it'll blow cold air later on? or does it just stay warm all the time

You probably just need it re-pressurized.

yea i just want to clarify that the original repair in October was because the A/C was blowing hot air. The mech. said I needed the new controller, etc. So i'm assuming he checked the pressure and everything back then

Take it back to him and tell him it's the first time you tried to use it since he "fixed" it. Maybe he will work something out with you, or at least diagnose it so you will know if he really didn't fix it or if you have a new problem.
