The tires should stretch to fit the rims...I would look at the tires manufacterurs website to get the exact specs.... But with taht offset and being dropped it might rub, or hit the fenders over bumps or when turning.

They will fit, but they are going to have that sloped look on the sidewall. It's going to have that ramped look. I would recommend going more with a 235 on a 8 inch wide wheel. I have 215 on my 7 inch wheels and they are almost perfect. I mean you could even go with a tire as wide as 245 probably on those. But those sizes will probably rub.

No, it's a bad idea.

Most 205/50-15 tires are approved by their manufacturer for mounting on wheels 5.5-7.5 inches wide. And you really don't want to mount tires onto wheels wider than the approved range (even though you may be able to stretch them onto a wider rim). They can build up excessive stress and heat in the sidewall, and this can lead to failure/blowout/etc. It's unsafe and just a bad idea all around.

225/45-15 tires are usually approved for mounting on 15x8 rims. However, they rub on most cars. That's why they're used primarily for racetrack events, and not for street use.
