I was looking for more of a 4/5hp will grind anything you need or you could stop that with your hand answer. I know it will need 110v.

i just skimmed through you Q sorry, 3/4hp should be strong enough that i wont stop when grinding metal... putting too much force on the sanding pads will destroy them before you get them to stop.

Hah, I thought you mean 4 or 5 hp at first. Yea, I'd go at least 1, depending on what you usually grind. 3/4 should be fine for a small bench grinder.

We have a 3 phase that can take off your arm and leg if you get your leg near it. The smaller ones are weak, they do work but if you ever get daring enough to jab a piece of human flesh in there, it will die from the power of the arm.
