code ELD....where is it, how do I fix?
So I go to start my new beater and no start, code 20 Electric load sensor. I know nothing about this sensor, and there is no wire running to bin 19, where it should be. the car is a 91 sedan with a jdm sohc no vtec. Please help with where the ELD is, how to fix etc. I just want to drive this damn thing It was running great yesterday.

My electric load detector code only ever came on when the rear wire loom was unplugged. This was the loom that goes to the rear brake lights, etc.... good luck
Yeah there was some funk going on back there, but the weird thing is that I got everything to work, and the car was running really well and then out of the blue....
I'll go over the whole rear and underdash now and we'll see what we can see.

well, everything electronic I can find is working fine. Joe, do you know where the ELD is so I can check it out? I read its in the ecu, so I tried another pm6 and still the same. I need to know where it is so I can try running a new wire....???
An eld code should not stop it from starting. The eld itself is integral to the underhood fuse box. I think you need to get another fuse box itself. check it out you might have some melted stuff in there stopping it from starting.
Ok Jimmy, I have another fuse box to try. I looked in there earlier and everything looked ok, but I'll try it.... I was thinking the same thing about not starting. It started for a while, acting like it was only on 3 cylinders and now no more starting. The car was messed with a bit, and an engine swap so who really knows what may be causing the no start.

rrright, no dice on the fuse box, I tried a known good one and still code 20 and no start (the starter goes like mad, and at most it'll sputter a bit)
anyone? please? This car is draining my will t owork on my good one

May be ground but its not a fresh swap, the previous owner has been driving it with the engine swap for a year with no issues that I know of, and it was running for the couple times I have driven it.... Its weird that it won't start as well as have a code that shouldn't relate to running.
S oit seems th eno start is fuel, nothing past injectors but but there is fuel past the rail, although it seems weak.... I'm trying the injectors from my b16(running) and we'll see if its the fuel pump itself, which I think it may be....I'll keep ya posted
You need a fuse box from an American car as the Canadian cars do not have an ELD built into them. I have the same code on my car for some time now but the only problems I have are after warm up(lumpy idle), other than that it drives perfectly. I bet your ECU is from an American car and is looking for the ELD which is not present. Either get a Canadian ECU or an American fuse box.
alright. replaced the main relay, it runs. now it has code 9 (cps) and has huge throttle hesitation
so I guess I have to try to find a dizzy here in the boonies. yay.
