ok i normally am in the civic area, but my friend at work has a 1994 accord, and he has abs, well letely the light came on, i did a search, and found the service connector under the dash, and i jumped it, turned the key on, and i got 4 rapid blinks, a pause and 8 rapid blinks. i would like to know what these mean, and what the known causes are, and also after we repair it, how do you clear the codes? thank you for your time.

 

The 4 is for the sensor and the 8 is left rear. Check to see if it's dirty or something. And you reset it by pulling the abs b2 fuse under the hood for about 3 seconds.

Yea those sensors get crud built up on them quite a bit. Quite possibly the might be an inconsistent gap between the sensor and the gear pulser which would cause it to throw a signal. Just try cleaning it first and resetting. Cheapest route for now.
