I have skunk2 coilovers on mine and they are great, but I think I have my car to low.. I think is 3 all the way around.. So im going to raise it soon, I scrape my exhaust on some bumps and thats not good. Whatever you chice dont go to low or it will make it ride evenworse.. At the time there are a lot of brands to chose from like:
tien
skunk2
h&r
and a few others that I cant remember, so good luck.

I'm not getting coilovers, I'm getting air cylinders from http://www.pikfabrications.com. That way if I'm ever going over a speed bump or attempting to get up my drive way..(I live on a lake and b/c of the water level our driveway is REALLY steep, I'll show ya'll some pics later, you'll be amazed) all I need to do is hit a switch and and my car will raise up 8 in. It's pretty nice, I can't wait to get it installed so I can play with it.. hehe..

i just installed a set of TEIN HA's in my DC5R the other day... they ride very nice... bumpy but not too stiff. at the moment they are sitting about 15-16cm off the ground and thats only being adjusted with one turn but rides nice. im from australia so the law is quiet tight here....

Did the skunk came with shocks? I think its better to have coil overs with the shocks coming with them

Damn, that is too low..Bet he hits the man hole covers as well huh..As for the air bag's, I'd hate to see a rsx go that route, but if you need them then get them, but like tsunamic said, don plan on racing or take sharp turns.. good luck

only thing good about air bags is you can weld supports on the jack points , to when you parkk it you drop it to the floor, to were the wheels are literally barely touching the ground....lets seem any stunnas try to steal like thAt but for performance its a big handicap

I'm the dude getting the air bags.. I really don't know too much about that suspension.. why can't I race or take sharp turns?

Think about it bro. airbags are BAGS full of AIR. you're replacing your steel and aluminum suspension components with kevlar sacks full of wind. pressurized shocks & steel coilsprings handle load very well...that's what they are made to do. airbags were first used in "cheater bars" for dumptrucks and construction vehicles (that's why you see two extra sets of wheels and axles tucked up close to their frames but not on the ground...if they blow out an axle, the airbags lower the new wheels to the ground and they're safe until they can get repairs), never meant for a performance application.

think about it this way: if your car is low to the ground and you've got 185/80 SR13 tires, they'll collapse when you take a sharp turn because they're metal reinforced rubber bags with tall sides that don't have any tensile strength or weight distribution. the same goes for your airbags...even when they're all the way collapsed. they aren't made for handling lateral loads.

go with adjustable coilovers and you'll be much more happy in the long run. don't believe me? ask some of my friends at http://www.mys10.com how they handle on their airbags at speed versus my truck that i lowered on steel that handled like a goddamn corvette .

Yea, but an RSX is a front wheel drive car meaning that it can't use air bags, only air cylinders.. like I said when I first posted in this thread.. is that much different when it comes to handling? It must be considering those are bags and these are cylinders but I'm not too sure so if you read this again, please reply to this question..

and as for RSXer.. please don't attempt to give me the hammer and head symbol.. you're a newbie, yesterday you asked (on this RSX forum) if getting altezzas was better than euro lights.. I'm the only one that defended you.. remember the saying: Those who live in glass houses do not cast stones. Have a nice day..

yeah and only a rice boy like you would prolly know there not supportive....any ways.. back to the topic....i think i know what kinda air ride your talking about..you prolly mean those air struts...they look just like a macphereson strut , but there pressurized, they still wont have the quailtys of a spring...cause resistance is made by air ....and not the tensil strength of a spring + shock combo...the only advantage of air ride is its height adjustability...but performance "blows"

ok dont think im too dumb for asking this.....coilovers are kinda new to me and i dont know much about them. Whats so good about them...and why not just get regular lowering springs?

with coilover you can easily and in a short period of time adjust the height of the suspension, plus have stiffer springs.....i recomend coilovers , but ride quality will become more harsh ....
