how hard is it for me to take out my old tranny........and drop in a new one?....they are the exact same tranny and just a swap.....i am wondering cuz if i can i would rather do it then pay someone too....thanks for all your help...

 

Not very hard. Pick up a Haynes or Chilton and go to town. Good luck

it should take you about 2 hours if its justy a swap.super [freak]ing easy

It all depends what tools you have, and if you have help. An extra set of hands is always useful. And the right tools make things go smoother and quicker. Good luck man

I'll be doing the same thing soon, but in my F250

 

definately have some help to get the input shaft to line up, cause the trans is kinda heavy trying to do it yourself

 

idk bout u guys but i've grown to fall in love with air tools no matter wut project...if u can get some!!

 

if your not familiar with what your doing then it would be hard so get a book and follow the instructions from draining tranny fluid to not loosing your bolts that you have taken out lol i had a hard time doing this the first time

 

Not to hard with right tools. While your there change out clutch and stuff. That is what i would do.
