Default What is the difference between the writings on the B-Series valve covers?

For instance - my valve cover reads DOHC bigger that V-TEC.

I found a picture on this forum while trying to do a search for this
discussion on this forum and came across one that looks like mine.

Hope the original poster doesn't mind me using his pic for my topic.

These in this picture are everywhere

What is the difference? Will someone enlighten me?

Both are jdm valvecovers. The first one is of the jdm first gen b16, the second one is off the second gen b16 and the jdm sir-g(gsr/b18c).

The second valve cover came on the usdm B16a2's. The top ones are gsr's.

Also, the second ones also come on the jdm gsr's.

So the fact that mine is a 1997 integra GSR - should be the 2nd one?

I don't know if this could have anything to do with it - but according to carfax -
my vehicle was manufactured in Japan? If I am not mistaken don't most say Canada?

The majority of the valve covers are pictured as the 2nd one...

heres a JDM ITR/CTR valve cover
notice the difference. Any real ACURA motor i.e. US GSR and US ITR won't have an H emblem because they aren't HONDAS. get it?

The ones with No H's on them are US GSR and US Type R.

The one with the H, but say "Honda Motor Company" are US B16's from SI civic and B16 DelSol.

The one with the H and say "HONDA" are JDM.
