repeated rear main seal failure

repeated rear main seal failure
I have a 93 civic lx 1.5l. Had the rear main seal replaced 1 year ago.It lasted maybe 7 months then was replaced again. It is in the shop now for ANOTHER seal replacement. Any ideas why a rear main seal would fail 3 times in 1 year? the PCV valve was changed after the first seal job.
