I just recently had my motor rebuilt and i've got about 2500 miles on it so its nice and broke in now. i take it on the highway and beat on it a little bit not much. just like 60 to 120 roll. and when i got home i noticed this weird *** grinding noise, and here's what it is


how the hell did my crank pulley get pushed into my oil pan???????

 

wow wish i could tell ya but dont look good.

 

forgot thrust bearings?

 

i figured it out. the dampener rotted away from the actual pulley!. no big deal

 

did it mess anything up?

 

You better hope it didn't bend the crankshaft, or the crank key didn't dig into to crank.

 

now a new problem has came to light. the pulley is on and everything was fine for a few minutes then it acted like it was hitting rev limiter at 2500 rpm. crank position sensor go bad? it runs and starts fine. just cant take it over 2500
