Default Honda Accord vs Acura Integra?

I am new here and looking to replace my son's 98 Accord Ex that was totaled. I can get an 2001 Acura Integra with 76,400mi for $7600. Is this a good price?
The dealer told me the Integra was comparable in size to the Accord not the Civic. Is it more in size with the Civic? That seems like a very good price since a 2000 Accord EX with 131,000mi is at a dealer near me for $7,900! I would like some opinions. Thanks!

The dealer is an idiot. Integra is comparable to the Civic. Accords are noticably bigger. But if it's for your son, first check to see the insurance rate. You might be surprised how much more the Integra costs. If it all checks out, I'd opt for the Integra, personally. The price is kind of high, but it depends on your area. You can always check autotrader or craigslist to see what they're going for in your area.

Look at the area, NJ. Everything is high over there
Also, the integra is Def not comparable in size to an accord, even the 4door isn't Huge.

If anything, I would try to talk the dealer a little still.

It is a four door and I didn't think about the insurance rates. I'll check them tomorrow. Do you think the four door is bigger than the Civic?
The dealer has it listed at $8,983 but his bottom line price is $7600. I think it is a good price for the mileage but I am just concerned about the size. I would like an Accord sized car for the crash protection.

Once again, they are the same size if you're comparing coupe to coupe and sedan to sedan. Civics also come in 4 doors.

the dealer might be correct if he's comparing the 94-97 accords, but i think in 98 it switched over to the new body style correct? I don't know why the integra would sell as much as an accord in NJ, but yes check insurance rates, and also look up crash test ratings on both vehicles, but I think they both offer the same standard SRS units on driver and passenger for both comparing models.

You know....if you wanted to save money, you can probably put the car with your insurance but list him as the driver. Nothing like a multi car discount to help shave some dollars off the insurance premium
