I have a B16 shortblock and access to everything from a B18c1 except for the block itself (i have the head, crank, pistons, rods, etc) Will b18c rods/pistons fit in the B16a? What will swap over and what won't? Would it just be best to build a b16a bottom end/b18c head? Thanks for the help.....hope its not stupid question.

 

the rods wont swap over.
Pistons should fit since GSR / ITR owners "commonly" use CTR (B16B) pistons.

I dont know if the B18C pistons are a bolt in to B16 rods though, most likely they are

your best bet is to build a B16 bottom end with JDM factory honda parts or aftermarket stuff, even use CTR pistons and slap the B18C1 head onto it.

 

if your going to do a b16 use ctr piston witch is better. or try to get a b18 block.
the rods will cross over just have to measure for piston to head clearence. but i wouldnt do it go with the ctr!!!!!!
