Default Type r Suspension (beyond frustrated) - PLEASE HELP

Ok i baught type r suspension for my 05 type s. i took it home and figured 3 hours and i would have the fu***rs on. 3 hours later i dont even have the right front coilover off. I took off every single mother F****ing bolt. Then i came to these tie rods, i un did the nut and the coilover wouldnt pull off. So i started hammering the **** out of it (didnt work). Then i went to the store and baught those tools with the claws and the bolt that screws upward in the center to pull it apart. Then i realized the tool has a point on it so all it did was put a hole in the bottom of the screw on the tie rod. So now im sitting here coming to you guys because i know just about everyone on here has aftermarket suspension so you have all done it. How do you take these tie rods off??? If you choose to help me please choose your words carefully because i dont know if i can handle reading another unclear description online. PLEASE HELP for i cannot handle any more frustration!!!!!!

If you have a ball joint separator you can wedge in there and tap it with a hammer it should work. If not try turning the strut assembly as if you were turning in you car and try to wiggle it loose as you tap the ball joint separator in there. Goodluck bro.... it's always the easy things that are so frustratingly difficult.

I use a pitman arm puller I rented/bought from autozone and a 4 foot pipe/breaker bar for ball joint and tie rods. I grinded the tip off so it doesn't dig into the bolt and dremeled the hell out of the inner walls to fit over our wide LCAs to seperate lower ***** joints.

Out of 4 lower ball joints I removed only 1 was still usable. I share your frustration.

I did the same thing, gotall the bolts off and tried to take off the tie rod by banging the bottom with a hammer. All i did was smash the threads and was unable to re thread the bolt. had to get a brand new one. needless to say i'm going to have someone do it for me. I've done preludes, civics, integras and those are all cake, damn you RSX!!!!

its not that hard, just take a 5lb sledge and hit the arm that holds the tie rod end right where the end goes into the arm, dont hit the boot, or the bolt, hit the part that the tie rod is slid into, oh and good luck on the ball joints, yea when i did my clutch on the ground, i gave up using a hammer and just took the whole control arm out of the subframe

Wow, I would have tried a proper tool before touching my subframe (one of the many types of ball joint seperators).

There's also a video for the hammer route, I'll see if I can find it

uh white on rice, in case you didnt know, you have to remove the subframe to remove the transmission. which is involved in replacing the clutch, and i know about proper tools, i have about 15 k worth of tools, however they stay at work so i had to work with what i had
