Default need some exhaust advise

alright, i searched around and no one seems to post about HX's. i have a HX w/ MT, and about 120K on it. My exhaust manifold is badly cracked on the # 1 cylinder, and my cat is starting to rattle(the one on the manifold). It's against the lawfor a used cat to be sold w/out being certified from the EPA, and no yard will bother going threw that process, and theres no way in hell im buying a new one. My question is, if i were to buy a header, and take it to a shop and have them tune the pcm to delete the cats, and remove both of them, and leave the stock muffler on, how much will the gas milage be effected, if at all?

Im not looking for any "power" at all, it's a honda civic...i just wanna know if this is the easiest way to go about this, and if it's gunna make my car sound like every other POS civic out there.

cheaper to swap aftermarket exhuast in meaning taking out your OEM exhaust or get ready to pay $600 for a new cat converter

see, i was asking if i could just get an aftermarket header, so i don't have to deal with my car sounding like it's outta the fast and the furios, which is why im asking if i can just get my cat's deleted, remove then, and not have to worry about loosing gas milage.

and car-parts.com is cheap, but like i said, it's illegal to sell a used cat...

those Police are going to get you like Fast and the furious.......... chase you down and shoot at your car going 0-120 in 3sec

exhaust is all personal preference some like the crackle... some dont.. some like it deep... hahaha.. and some dont get the point

just look and hear around sounds clips everywhere now adays

and if you remove the cat it will get extra loud and possible sound like *** Like mine

so do it wright and keep it legal cause its not worth the hassle if you get pulled over
