my integra smokes only when i get on it... and i know i need a valve adjustment b/c it sounds like a tractor... so my question is if i did a valve adjustment do you think it may solve this problem being if pistons are bad and whatever else... i know a leak down test will tell me a lot on why my car is smoking but i have the tools to do the valve adjustment and i was reading about the leak down test not entirely sure on how to do it, but i will just read some more on it and will figure it out... so the question is if i do a valve adjustment do you think it might take care of some smoke? or does that have nothing to do with it smoking at all?

 

probably wont do much for the smoking. do you have to add oil between oil changes? Do a compression test and see if any are lower specs, check your spark plugs for white chunks (oil consumption) and one or more cylinders are low add a cap full of oil down into it and check compression again. if its a decent amount higher then your rings are shot on that cyl.
Im newer to hondas but I've been told by alot of people that when you hit vtec you burn a little oil anyways so maybe thats just reason for it smoking.

 

nope no vtec on this car.. i wish though... ha... ummm yes i do have to add oil between oil changes a lot of oil.. haha.. ummm i can put oil in it a little more then half on the mark where it should be and in 7 days... no oil will read on the stick... ahha its bad... so it pretty much has fresh oil in it all the time... i just keep using the walmart cheap oil for 8 dollars... i tried the no smoke treatment stuff and it seems to last a little longer like 10 days but for the price of that treatment its just worth buying the oil over and over...
