pioneer problem in a 95 coupe
its a DEH-P4900IB i guess...thats what the tag says...i put it in one day and didn't plug up the big black antenna wire and for some reason it wouldn't cut on...no power at all going to the cd player...so then i plugged the wire in and it worked...well last night i pulled the antenna thing off and put a block off on the antenna hole because i never listen to the radio...and now the cd player won't work anymore...so i went to pull the cd player out of the car to check why it wouldn't work and the wire like ripped out of the end of the plug...
so i guess the question is...does that wire have anything to do with the power to the cd player?

sound like you have a bad ground on the radio. It work when the antenna pluged in. If it did the antenna was providing a good groud. Wires get riped out is bad and could cause a short
