Idiot friend broke back seat
so my friend dropped his wallet into the whole where the back right speaker is located (the cover was off ). i left to grab some grub.
and upon my return he has my back seat bent back and contorted in a way that didnt look natural. After i yelled at him and made him walk home. Now no matter how many times i push it back into place it keeps popping back up.
do u guys think i 'll just have to replace the whole back seat or just the small latch and hook that connects the two. i was thinking of going to an acura dealership or could i find this somewhere else
btw it a 98 rs pics 2morow1!!
oh and im making him pay
I assume that this is the base. Remove the 10mm bolts (I think there is just one in the middle by the seatbetls and straighten the seat frame. You may need to replace the two plastic sockets in the floor that hold the seat frame.
seriously a shot in the gonads would make it eve

I agree with Dogginator. You're more than likely going to need to remove the top part of the rear seat in your picture and try to straighten it out before you re-install. Let us know how that works out.

my friends said when i was yelling at him. they've never seen me that mad. since he's done that i just have disgust for him now.
what really pisses me off is that this is the 4th time that either a friend or someone does something stupid to my car

you are correct. that is very unnatural....do you know how to remove the back support? remove them and there is a 10 mm bolt holding the lower section to the body. you will see it kind of where the upper piece and lower piece meet. remove that bolt and straiten your seat back out. in the first pic you see that oval grove. make sure the tab that goes in there thats on the bottom of the lower half is not bent. if it is then bend it back. put he tabs back in the oval groves and bolt the seat down. put everything back and you should be good to go. good luck.

i'll probably go at it this weekend.
or i can just make him buy me a new back seat :D</TD></TR></TABLE>
shouldnt be too hard to bend back... if ur moron friend did it one way, then im sure u can do it the other... the rear seats are extremely easy to remove... should only take you 10 mins maximum to take everything out, bend it back, and install it back in... good luck

I probably wont help too much but I don't see the years being terribly different.. on my second gen integra's there issss...
One bolt, 10mm, in the center of the two seats where they split - near the belts - to hold the rear cushion in place. Hooks/hangers that hold the cushion in place as well - they bend straight up so you tilt the bottom cushion towards the roof and lift up if you don't want to bend 'em..
The rear has 2 10mm bolts on each side holding the bottom of the seat, with a pin in the center of the two seats that lets them fold down separately, and keeps the center together.. The top corners have slots that attach to the side quarters, where they click and lock into place (hence the **** bit at the top of the seat, pull, release the latch, seat folds.)
The picture you posted, the bottom cushion has a hanger, you slide it in there.. You'll want to remove the rear cushion all together to align it right and make sure the hangers aren't bent to ****..
Seats fine, hangers bent, remove the cushion and make sure they're straight - slide 'em in and then screw it down again.
Then punch your friend in the nuts for being a tard.
