Plans to install non-reclinable racing seat...what will i need?
I plan on installing a non-reclinable racing seat in my 90 crx Si. How do i determine what type of brackets or mounts i will need? Can anyone explain whats involved in the installation?

a few of my buddies have aftermarket seats.. manufacturers usually make hybrid seat rails.. other companies too.. just make sure its for your seat and your car.. then it should be a direct bolt-on.
Okay thanks...i was looking at the Sparco Fighter seats and found a "custom seat bracket base and slider" thats made for the 89-91 crx...but would i also need to purchase side mounts or would the fighter directly bolt on from underneath to the base?
From Sparco's website, it says "The Fighter seat was designed to give the extreme support of one of our competition seats with ease of installation found in our street performance seats."
To me, that indicates that it's a top mount and not a side mount. But I'd check with either Sparco directly, or a distributor that's close to you to be 100% sure.

Okay thanks i found a place that sells custom sparco brackets. Will my crx still be sreet legal with an autopower 4pt roll bar and the sparco seat? I will be getting the street legal Schroth Rallye Cross harness but would the seat be legal too if i were daily driving?
I don't see why not, mine is. Though I still have the OEM seatbelt working in addition to the 5-pt that I have. I'm not positive about the Schroth, but if they say it's legal, who am I to argue?
