well i have done totall tune up on my car, spark plugs, wires, timing belt, water pump ,replaced all seals on distributor and on head gasket. And did the timing with the flash gun. of course this was done by mechanic.


the problem: when i drive around it sitts at 800 rpm perfectly but over some driving let's say over 20miles it'll drop to 600rpm or 500 then go back to 800rpm. and yes i replaced the pcv vavle.

Also my transmission gears or getting worn out it's auto. 97 accord dx

also what i mean is that the trannss has 125,000 miles and it spkips sometimes. I don't know if that has to do with engine but any person who knows would be the shizzle right now. thanks

 

hmm interesting it happened to my friend once ill ask him and get back to you. so is it idleling at 800 when you first start the car, how much does it idle at after the engine warms up 800 stiil?

 

yup and by way i only installled an intake everything else good. but yes it idels at 800 then 20 miles into driving drop

 

Could be dirty throttle body. I've seen that before.
