b16 BBB???
I got my 1st gen motor, and on the engine stamp, below the b16a (where the serial # usually is) all it has is BBB. The letters are larger than the b16, and are stamped in. there is no evidence at all that the stamp has been ground down and these letters added. I just wanted to know if any of you out there knew what the BBB means. Someone suggested that it could possibly be a factory "warranty" motor, i.e. the motor went while the car was still under warranty in YAPAN
and this is a replacement motor.
One more question-i'm using the harness from an EF8 Si. Do i use the whole thing? If not, where do I separate it? I already know the other wires I need to run to my PWO (VTEC solenoid, oil pressure...) i just don't know exactly what segment of the harness i should use. Thanks for your help in advance...

Not sure about the 'BBB' thing, I've never heard of it.
You reuse your original harness; the B16 one won't connect to your shock tower harness plugs. Just add the vtec, 02, and knock sensor wiring that you'll need for your PW0.
