Default alternator belt rubbing on bottom timing belt cover

what the ****? 92 civic cx.. wont go in any further.. is it okay or not if i just keep my covers off completely..?

DO NOT run with the bottom cover off. You're going to get dirt in the front crank seal, it will fail and start leaking oil out the front of the motor. You also run the risk of getting small stones and other crap caught up in the pulleys. Keep looking for the reason why it won't go on.
