CRG rearsets...anyone?
a friend told me about CRG having rearsets out for 08.. anyone have them? ive used sato and thats it..sato is nice but i like how the pedal moves in with a crash and how its adjustable like the gilles VCR.... thanks for any info!! look kinda weird tho..but the function is what gets me...and not the price as its a tad bit more than other rearsets but you get what you pay for.

CRG is the sheeet... most of the sets around are good, but you really can not go worng with crg
Range of adjustment is well worth the price of admission

One thing to take into consideration when purchasing the higher end rear sets is the cost of replacement parts. I too run Satos on my R6 and while they are absolutely amazing in the form and function dept they can deliver a hefty blow to your bank account in the event of a getoff.
Hindsight being 20/20 I wish I would have just gone with Vortex or Woodcraft and put the remaining monies towards more trackdays or tires.
Those do look really nice though.

back is still against the fence on this one....

Since price doesn't appear to be an issue for you I'd give the CRG's a try! One thing I like from the picture is that the heel plate appears to be very rigid due to its solid construction. Thats my only complaint about the Sato's (besides the previously mentioned cost of replacement parts) is that the heel plates flex a bit under load.
If you end up getting them let us know how you like em.

What do you mean on the heel plates flexing under load? I don't do aggressive riding but wondering why you would put a great amount of pressure on them? Just wondering.
Waits for GA to say something..

I had to bend mine back out on the daytona. Make fun of my form all you'd like, but you hold onto the bike with your legs...and this puts pressure on them.

i think you can adjust them.. see the extra holes it can mount to..maybe if you use the other holes it will adjust it higher maybe...its a 1098 picture.......
Just found out they make the rearsets 20 mins away from me... and i belive that DanKyle sells CRG too.... may have to fork ova some money and try em out..
im sure its going to be worth it......
ohhh shibby!!

While cornering I tend to hang off the motorcycle in order to achieve less lean angle and the subsequent benefits of a larger contact patch. In order to do this I wedge my knee in between the gas tank and foot peg, and when my leg is in this position it has a tendency to push into the heel guard.

Im not knockin your form at all, you didn't have knee pucks and all that so I don't know if you was trying. I was just waiting on you to flame me for asking something.

biggest complaint with them is ability to get replacement parts. You have to buy a whole new rearset if you lose 1 screw or need to replace the peg.

why would you have to replace them? It's not like you drag your knee... Or did you swap out your fresh ones for some almost all the way scuffed down ones?
