obd1 injector clips on obd0 harness?
ok im gonna be redoing my friends engine harness and he brought me obd1 injector clips will there be any problems soldering them onto an obd0 harness? im assuming they should plug right into the obd0 injectors with out a problem.
A friend of mine bought a used AEM fuel rail that came with injectors and when we went to plug them into the harness they woudnt fit because they had plastic notches on the inside of the clip. I dont know much about this OBD thing so I cant tell you if they were OBD 0 or 1 or anything or if that even had anything to do with it, but they were different than his stock injectors. Anyways all he did was take a dremel tool and grind off the notches and they plugged right in and they work like a charm.
assuming he has an engine in there with obd1 injectors then yes thats exactly what you want to do. i had to swap obd1 clips to my obd0 harness to use the b18b1 engine in my car.
obdo obd1 obd2 injector harnesses will all work with eachothers injectors the only diffs are the grooves inside the harness as stated before.. obdo has no groove or notch but obd1 does and you dont need a dremmel to get it even though that would work good but a razor blade and or small pocket knife would be perfect...
