have a broken wheel stud. been rolling on three lugs for about 2 weeks. where can i get this fixed?

 

If you dont want to do it yourself, just go to any wheel/tire shop....

 

Pretty much any wheel shop. Go get a extra wheel stud from a junkyard or something, bring it to them and they should do the job.

 

If you have a dremel, new wheel stud/bolt, and about 20 minutes of free time PM me for an easy lil DIY in ur driveway fix...

 

How's it going... i see you have some experience removing stripped wheels studs, i have a 93 hatchy that i stripped two studs pretty bad. I removed the tire and caliper already, i didn't remove the rotor since i noticed that behind by where the caliper is at theres a opening where i would be able to hammer out those old studs but it seems if i were to do that the stud would be blocked by the hub assembly, i could probably get them out by cutting them out but what about putting the new ones in, i was thinking of buying extended studs... that would make it even more difficult to slide them in since they are obviously longer, any thoughts?

Your opinion would be appriciated...

yes, it's a super pain in the a** to swap the front ones because they are definitely blocked by the hub assembly. If you want to do it right, you need to take the hub/bearing assembly apart on a hydraulic press and hope you don't trash the bearings while you do it. That's what I did the time that I had to change them. The helms says that you can also pull them apart with a slide hammer, but not having a slide hammer, I've never tried it that way.

Or, you can do what everyone else does and grind a spot off of the hub assembly and the bolt head so that they clear each other.

The rears are not bad at all, and you can get them without any major problems.
