You buy the dye and brush it in 
...JK....I used a paint called SEM Plasticoat....its a very watery paint and you just a really stiff brush (I just cut a cheap one so the bristles were really short) and you basically paint your carpet....I bought it LordCo but I am in canada I dunno if you have Lordcos but just ask around for SEM paint
