Hi,

A while ago I swapped H22A JDM to my EG Civic. I went to the dyno recently and to my disappointment I came back with 163HP ON THE ENGINE (our dynos count engine HP instad of WHP). I hoped for something between 180 - 200HP.

Compression is good, ignition is 16 degrees, straght-through 2,5" exhaust. The car is throwing EGR, Traction Control and ELD codes but I do not think they can cause this problem. Two graphs are with IAB open and closed. Graph looks ok, but the power and torque is low. What should I check? Below dyno:

It appears that the dyno reads WHP instead of HP and if thats the case 163whp sounds about right with your mods. Why were you even dynoing your car if your throwing multiple codes?? By the way what is traction control code on a eg hatch?
Is this dyno reading in Newton Meters?

 

I triple checked and the dyno reads crank HP, the engine is rated 200HP so 163 is rather low. Donor Prelude was equipped with traction control and the ecu is looking for it but it is a code that does not throw CEL. Dyno is reading in Newton Meters, just like most of them in Europe.

 

was your car on wheels when you got it dynoed???
....then it was "wheel" hp my friend.
but you say it was 163 to the crank??? hmmm so they took the motor outa your car and then dynoed it... when i could tell you right now it has 200 crank hp... if it really is the jdm h22a
