Default Koni question specifically for Tegs

Just wondering what kind of springs/coilovers you guys rock with your koni yellows.

I'm leaning towards H&R race springs because I hear the H&R sports are too soft.

Any advice would be cool. Even if you yourself don't have them, if you've been in someone elses DC2 let me know what you thought.

This question can only be answered if you provide more information.

What are you looking for from your car?
Is this drop purely cosmetic?
Will the car ever see track time, or is it purely a daily driver?

Since you were looking at H&R you could always get the ITR specific H&R Sports which I believe have rates around 360F / 320-360R, stiffer than those for other Integras.

I'm not going to race it, but I do drive it for fun. I'd like the drop for cosmetics, but also to gain some performance when I'm whipping around.

I have H&R sports on my yellows, and I love them. Perfect drop and the ride is very nice for dd. I have also taken home some trophies at the local auto-x events

Those rates sound perfect paired with Yellows for the OPs goals.

I'm running the H&R OE springs with koni yellows. Ride is firm, but not too harsh, unless you are on bad pavement. its definitely stiffer than stock though. Not too low, only about a 1" drop or so, which is all I wanted.

H&R Sport is low enough for me. Already rubs when I crank the wheel all the way.

again, not making any sense, only reason youd have cracked pain*t* on your wheel wells would be your upper control arms hitting them which would have to do with ride height..... top hats have absolutely no effect on ride height, they only give the shock a little more height to work before the shaft itself bottoms out

hmm you know if the shock has more room to move around, than the ball joint wouldnt hit the finder well and cause the cracked paint. excat same **** as I stated, just you worded it better.

plus i never [freak]ing said anything about top hats effects ride height!! its the coilovers / springs that effects ride height, also adjustable shocks( if you have them) no point in arguing w/ you no point STAY ON TOPIC...

I <3 HT take things out of context... and going way off topic  no matter what thread it is....

Are you running the H&R sports with Koni Yellows in a DC? Now I'm worried these are gonna slam my teg.

The race springs, although lower, are stiffer, do you guys thing I'd still be bottoming out?

Well, it is only when I have the wheel fully cranked. But it doesn't take a full car or even high speeds to induce it so it will be worse with shorter springs, even if they are stiffer.

I have not had an alignment done yet, so that might help.

Just remember stiff springs only help if your tires are good enough to take advantage of them.

When I put the Konis on full stiff, the ride in my integra is much harsher than my S2k with 500 in-lb springs. But I don't keep the s2k KW3s turned completely stiff. And I won't keep the Konis that way either.

H&R is what i had before I got my GC.. and I didn't care to much for the ride quality, spring rates on H&R suck! had them w/ agx btw.. but than they started sagging in the FL, so i just swap out complete suspension and go koni sp3 w/ gc
