Default Question regarding possible R purchase...

Have a chance to get ahold of a 2000 ITR. Its pheonix yellow and has a very straight/clean body. Problem is its a theft recovery. The title is salvage, the engine, interior and suspension are gone. I believe he has SOME of the interior pieces sourced already. I have plans for an engine/tranny already and am not too concerned about the suspension at this time. My main question is what would you value this type of find at? I want to get an idea of what I should offer...

Alright, well... I would say I am getting a good price then I just don't know if it is going to be worth it in the long run. I have a GSR in my hatch now built to R specs minus the head. I could use that engine for the time being until I came across a legit C5 block (good luck). I would need the round up interior (seats and cluster, wiring, etc) and then the 5 lug conversion and rims. In the end its still got a salvage titile. Supposedly only has 30k miles on the chassis... Its super super clean. Looks like a new car... I'm just debating..

Thanks for the reply.

Nope. No one on here. Just a friend. No pictures right now. I need to even confirm 100% he is going to sell. There have been talks and all but nothing outright. I have an idea on how to pay for it if the need comes up. With this plan I can keep my EK hatch and then work on the R over a period of time. I would ideally like to get a JDM R swap for it and then source interior parts and last the 5 lug. We will see.

B series? Why JDM?

B series to keep it original, and JDM because it seems near impossible to find a LEGIT USDM block with the vin tag still intact.

tops... once you add the engine/tranny, interior, suspension... that's another 6 grand, at least? if you paid 4k+6K, that's 10 right there... then you have to do all the work yourself there are re complete ITRs (some clean titled, some salvage) around the 10-12k range... so why not buy a complete ITR if that's what you wanted if you were going to pay near 4k?
