Default Thinking about selling my LX to get a h/b

I just paid off my 98 LX and I am thinking about putting it back to stock and selling it. I'm sure I could get around 10k for it.

That would be:

5th gen h/b -- $2,500
B18C1 -- 4-5k
Angel Eyes projectors -- $150
Euro clear corners -- $30
Red / Clear tails -- $100
Cat-back -- $450
Headers -- $250
H.I.D. -- $450
GSR gauge cluster -- $300
GSR badge -- $30

What do you guys think? If I could find a white h/b with a blown motor with good insides / body, that would be the best way to go!

I am just tired of being slow and the automatic sucks a$$!!

Any thoughts?

I completly disagree with anything that is cosmetic.

150+30+100+30=310

310 = Extra stuff to replace on an old chasis that will need work. Bushings, shocks, brakes.

Oh and good luck finding a hatch for 2500.

You could get a CRX and save money by putting a D16Y8 in it. OR a B16 and have extra money left over for all the fix'ems that you will have to do. On a hatch/crx your going to want to upgrade the supsension badly. You may just want to hold off on the HID's

CRX is out of the question. I have a daughter. B16 is also out of it.
I plan on using my GC's / Bilstein shocks from my 98 if they'll work. I am almost positive it's the same set-up.

Hmm.......well I believe the first thing is to see how much you can actually get for the LX. Then work from there.

Just don't get your hopes up that you will have enough to do all of this.

Good luck.

Well, I vote no to:
Angel Eyes projectors -- $150
Euro clear corners -- $30
Red / Clear tails -- $100
H.I.D. -- $450

Also, a GSR cluster is not a direct fit in a hatchback. That $300 seems like a waste as well.

4-5k is in the high range for a B18C1. I bought mine for 4k with 256 miles on it and it included the subframe/steering rack/front suspension&brakes, etc.

I would budget some money for misc expenses... they always come up. What about an upgraded radiator... even if it's just something like a Del Sol VTEC dual core. You'll probably want a new fuel filter... little piddly stuff, but it adds up.

Good point, but I've got to get to the point that I "WANT" to loose the LX.
Why I don't want to sell it? .....Had it since birth, Well maintained, Never been in an accident, Perfect INSIDE / OUT, would be a total sleeper

I'm still debating at this time. Just would like to get opinions and as I can see there are a lot of little things I am leaving out which means more $$.

Sometimes when you purchase a swap there are issues with the parts. I.E. Tranny syncros. sensors galore. Clutch, flywheel, rotor, cap, plugs, gaskets, water pump.....all these should be replaced when you recieve the new swap (or at least considered unless in good condition).

And again, I am only talking about the swap. The suspension even if you swap out your GC's (don't know if they fit) bushings, bearings, all those could be on there way out as well.

TRUST ME. I bought a POS. tanny went out after 2000 miles, the engine went after another 2000 miles. the suspension is starting to die even with new springs and shocks. (bushings and bearings). Needless, to say when you get an older car you have to repair things not considered.
