Default B-series Cable to Hydraulic Transmission swap question.

Found the D Series EF Civic and CRX Hydraulic Transmission Swap but cant find the B-series.

http://www.hondatuningmagazine....html

I was wondering how the VSS work for a B-series cable transmission set up with a OBD1 conversion. I know Hasport provide cable to hydro conversion kit but how would the cluster work if the wiring harness is converted to OBD1?
I appreciate for your help.

You can use any B or D series cable VSS sender, the signal to the ECU in our cars comes from the cluster.

So u can use the cable VSS without pluging the electronic VSS and the OBDI ECU still reads the signal? Correct me if I'm wrong cuz I have people swap out cluster and ect.

Yes, if you keep your stock cluster, keep your stock sender. The VSS signal will be read at the cluster and sent to the ECU from there. If you change to a newer cluster or a JDM one that uses electronic VSS, you need to run the three wires to the cluster and splice one into the ECU signal wire.
