My 88 Mustang Autox project
After selling my 93 integra, I started looking for another cheap autox project car. I kinda wanted to try something RWD this time around. I bought this car for $475. It's a 2.3 automatic. I'll be sticking with the 2.3, but I already have everything except a flywheel and clutch cable to convert it over to a 5-speed. I've always liked the looks of these cars, just not the mentality of a lot of people that drive them.
This is being built to autox on a tight budget. Plans are a cheap paint job, and brake/suspension upgrades. The V8 equipped mustangs had a better braking system, so I'll be souring these parts from the junkyard. A cheap set of subframe connectors to help the notoriously weak frame in the twisties. After that, a decent set of tires and I'll probably call it quits.

There's an older Mustang in my region that has been running for as long as I can remember. It's a very fast car and the driver(s) are great as well.

if you are allowed to, get the torque boxes welded too, or they will eventually rip out. and keep an eye on the floorpan at the bend in front of the back seat. I've never seen it, but I hear they start to split there.
