BFG drag radial wear (worried)
Well I just got these BFGs in 205x50x15 on a couple fat fives about a month or so ago. I have about 50 runs on them in my stock n/a b18b powered 98 coupe. I usually bounce between about 12-15psi in them here at the track. Just a basic 2nd gear e-brake burn for a couple seconds to get them hot. My car is simply lowered on some H&R sport springs (less than 2") Stock control arms w/ as good of an alignment as possible (I would assume....just had it done w/ a printout about the time I got the BFGs.
I also notice when the tires are at 12-15psi, my car pulls to the left like crazy. Up to 25 or so psi for the drive 10mi back to the house....it doesn't pull to the left (driver's side)
.....well there's the scenario.
Here's the results. Bad wear or cuts ONLY on the driver's side.
Sorry for the bad pics.

My question is for you seasoned guys. Have you seen this before? Should I be worried? I thought maybe it was rubbing on my upper ball joint or cotter pin up there but that shouldn't even be close is it? At 12-15psi, (if not caused by any rubbing) why would they just start wearing here right on the edge? Could it be a bad alignment based on how it constantly it pulls to the left when they're deflated to drag psi. Anybody please help.

I thought so to maybe. Really though? Dropped maybe 2" w/ stock everything as far as control arms and everything goes. 205-50-15s would do this? How? LoL Forgive me as I'm a noob at all the geometry in the suspension suspension.
^^^
Less important than my other questions......
- Could it be maybe a jacked up alignment tie rod/ toe related? Something as if the wheel is straight and it runs straight but maybe the tie rods are "crooked".....kinda like two wrongs make a right.....get what I mean there?
- Who would run with them like that still? They aren't that bad (only a little of the threading is showing)
- Why wouldn't my street tires do the same thing. I've had them on for much longer and they are perfect.
Call me dumb people. Somebody humor me. I'm just frustrated that I tore up my DRs within a month or two of having them. Maybe is a sign.....real slicks or some MT or Hoosier DRs. LoL

because the sidewall is so soft the tire ballons out and it causes it to rub places you normal tires wouldn't.
jack the car up under the control arms to load the suspension and turn the wheels lock to lock to see where they rub

look in the fender well around that area and see if you can find rubber where something is hitting. i'm with you, 205s hitting is weird. as for pulling one way, the combination of grooves in the track, slightly offset tire pressure, and torque steer could be the problem. i run 235/60s on the street with no issues (but my car is jacked up). can you raise up the car and see if that stops the problem? you'd be amazed at what a 1/4" can do.

It's most likely rubbing. I had some tires rub a long time ago on both sides so yes there is markings. However, I couldn't guess if it's from these as the marks were already there. How is the big question. They're only 205s. I'm only about 2" low. I only use them at the track at like 12-15lbs. They always have the same pressure in each before and after every run. It's Orlando Speedworld.....not known as a bad track that eats up tires. LoL
The big question is would y'all run with it like that? It's not really severe. It's just to the threads but no actual cut through them yet.....just a little wear.
