another running to0 rich code, need ideas!!
hey guys, i bought a 00' civic si a couple months ago, and ive been trying to get this car running perfect. its a b16a2 with ctr cams, intake, header, exhaust. I have a check engine light on Its a p0172 (system to rich) and a pending p0170(fuel trim malfunction) Now cold starts my car idles high until its warm and i turn off the car and start it back up then its idle is fine. Sometimes drops to 100-200 rpms not often. the car will Bog once in a while like its getting to much fuel, gas mileage is not great and my back bumper is showing fuel all over it. And i just took a long trip with it and noticed that when im driving highway the light will clear, but city driving the light will show up.
Now what ive done to try and fix this problem: I had some other codes that i have cleared buy doing re-doing the timing belt and removing the aem cam gears and replacing with oem cam gears. the car was out of timing and thought by doing this it would clear everything, but still runs rich. I had to replace the front o2 sensor, and tested the rear o2 and it is working properly. ignition timing is great, and im getting proper fuel pressure to the filter, i noticed i was missing clips on the injector plugs so i got clips. Ive cleaned the throttle body, and tested the map snsor and iac motor, (everyting seems good) checked for vacuum leaks and ive done a compression check 150psi on all four cylinder ( i didnt not hold WOT). ive changed gas from super to mid grade. i have a small exhaust leak wich im im going to try and repair today, but if any ideas let me know. thanks for reading.
