I've heard that bolting an extra header on your motor does not add power despite popular belief.

Why do people run 70mm TBs on all-motor builds? What size do they run on 700hp turbo builds?

homeboy up above is lookin in the 250's whp, tell me that's not alot of power for all motor? light crank pulley cause lots of vibrations on big cranks, why do u think HONDA din't use the CTR pulley on B18's and B20's? and why do u think guys with 95mm stroker motors have a harmonic balancer instead of a CTR pulley?

Please explain why you think 70mm is that big for this build?

On a 1.6 or 1.8 build i would have to agree. This build , a 68 would probably suffice, but 70 is not going to kill it.

On all larger B series all motor builds I have always seen/used 70+. I myself gained horsepower using a 72mm on my stock h22, granted the displacement is larger than a B.

If he would have posted 68mm you wouldnt have said a word, so why jump down his throat for 2mm? Do you have any factual data behind you saying that it will be detrimental to his build?

I think it looks like a pretty solid build. I would also ditch the CTR pulley.
The AEBS manifold is basically just a type r copy right? I might test a few different manifolds. A performer x may suit you well.

Port match any manifold to the TB though. . .

I didn't really say much. From my perspective a 70mm would be overkill. However the best way to find out would be on the dyno, finding out what HIS motor likes the best. Usually a large IM plenum will like a small TB and a small plenum will like a big TB.

Not to mention a 2mm difference is all that Honda thinks is needed between a b16 and a B18c5. So hogging out another 8mm for another 40hp seems a bit overzealous doesn't it?

70mm throttle body is perfect for 2.0L motor...if your head has had some machining done to it (port/polish), larger cams, valvetrain, higher fuel pressure, larger injectors doesn't it make sense to add more air to it?? just a thought
