Default Help, how much do you think this is worth?

This is the best place I found to post this question, sorry if there's a better place, just hit me with a link and i'll post it there.

I'm considering joining the EG family, how much do you think this should cost? ...

1994 Civic VX hatchback. Owner since 2004. Shell has around 180k miles. Motor was completely rebuilt around 25K ago. Not due to damage. Upgrading from 1.6 (B16) to 1.8 (B18C1/5)

Engine
B18C1 block stock sleeves 82mm bore. Complete short block was assembled by a machine shop in Edison, NJ.
USDM ITR pistons (engine is making around 11.8:1 compression because of the milled head)
stock B18C1 crank/rods
ACL bearings
B16A head milled .020
Skunk2 Pro Series 1 cams, Skunk2 cam gears
Supertech VS/retainers, new stock valves
AEBS IM ported to ITR TB w/Hondata gasket
Profab header to 2.5" straight piping to Magnaflow oval muffler with aftermarket cat
3" intake
chipped P28 tuned on crome by xenocron
shaved GSR crank pulley
310cc Precision injectors
Walbro 190lph pump
B&M FPR/Fuel gauge
93 Octane oil changed every 3k with Castol GTX 5W30
B16A transmission
Exedy Lightweight flywheel
Timing belt, water pump, oil pump replaced with brand new OEM parts 10k miles ago
ACT Stage 2 clutch or something stg2 equivalent I forget. With heavy duty pressure plate.
Homemade polyurethane motor mounts (60A hardness)
Dyno'd/tuned by xenocron making 202whp on a Dynodynamics with the cat on.
Interior
All stock besides a ITR shift boot, Civic Armrest and automatic EX cluster, and red/amber dash lighting done by me.
Exterior
Konig Helium Wheels with Falken Azenis
ITR style front and rear lip. Also stock Si lip included.
Omni-Power Sport Full Coilovers
Megan LCAs
Rear disc swap
Energy Suspension bushings in front upper control arms, front lower control arms, and shifter bushings
Amber corner lights</TD></TR></TABLE>

From all the pictures he has, the car looks very clean and in good shape. SLIGHT rust around the rear drivers side fender, and the interior is a little worn, but it seems legit. I've got an experienced honda friend coming with me to check it out. I'm coming from the RSX community so I've really only been around k-series honda's, so B series hatches are fairly new to me.

I'd offer $5000 tops. Seems like a fun car.

a little more info: he was asking $5500 originally. I've been talking to him about it and I offered $4500 cash, he hasn't responded yet. That's really the highest I'm looking to go with this one.

It still needs a lot of TLC and has plenty of things I can still do to it. I've got big plans for it if he decides to sell it for 4500

car is not worth $5500...i'd pay at the most $4500, maybe even less.

IMO, the car is to modified to buy, so i wouldn't even consider buying it.

I wouldn't buy a car if you need to fix things (i.e. rust)

Who knows what else could be wrong.

The only reason I'm considering buying a modified (or at least a swapped) car is because it has the exact engine more or less that I would have swapped in myself. Kind of saves me the hassle, while it is still modified to my liking.

Well I did some research. Personaly inspected the car. Ran tests, had a nine and a half hour conversation with the seller personally, Took the whole thing apart with my bare hands and rebuilt it to inspect EVERY part. Deducting a few grand for the rust id offer NO less than $4,750,000

Looks like a decent enough car but rust can be a pain to remove especially in the rear quarter panels.

This is my car for sale BTW.

LOL How does a <FONT SIZE="4">1994</FONT> HONDA CIVIC, INFAMOUS FOR HAVING RUST, correalate to "oh the whole cars probably fucked up!" Just because I haven't bothered fixing the rust (in 4 years of owning this car) doesn't mean ****. I've always had the mentality of "all go, some if any show". Never really cared too much about appearance. Yes I know this is a little more than just appearance since its like the body of the car, but as I said, the entire 4 years I've owned this car, all I cared about was making sure the engine was pulling good, running strong, and not getting stolen.

And the reason for the high asking price is because:

1) I was not in any rush of selling it.

2) I know people love to low ball so if I started off asking a price of $4,500 (which I think is a fair price), I know jerkstores would be like "uhh...Imma give yous $3,000 aight?"

I know I never mentioned it to the OP, but the main reason I'm selling this is because I'm sick of worrying about it getting stolen. When you come by the check it out, I'll show you all the stupid clutch locks, steering wheel locks, TASER lock, and wheel locks I own because thats how paranoid I am.

I know my word isn't much, but seriously, I don't beat the [freak] outta my car. The idea that I even own this car doesn't make any sense. I've had it tuned every year I've had the poorman's R setup because I'm paranoid (and even thought about getting it tuned again this month). Never went to the track with it because I've been way too busy, and don't street race (occasional redlining onto the onramp, but who doesn't). And usually I am very light on the throttle because after every fill up at the station, I try to see what the max gas mileage I can get is, which has been like 33mpg so far (average 27-28)

If you have any questions, ask away

$4,500 is a good price to pay for a car so well taken care of (motor/tranny).

To be perfectly honest, if I were the seller I'd walk away from any offer of less than $5000.

I've sold worse off cars for similar money on several occasions. All it takes is time. It's worth a good amount of money to someone, all he needs to do is find that particular someone.

lol a guy came to look at it today. Was itching to buy it all [freak]ing weekend. He was ready to buy it Wednesday right when I got out of work.

Came today with his girlfriend, she acts like she's the expert hahahaha. Asking questions like wheres the dipstick for the tranny fluid. And acting all skeptical when I said I have a chipped P28 instead of a P30. She basically cockblocked me and talked him out of it. Stupid bitch.

You can't get any Honda with a body that nice for under at least $4000 where I live. Then all of them have 150K more more miles. If I had $5000, I'd rather buy a nice shell and do the work myself, but someone will appreciate the swap already being done.
