Im about to purchase a type r tranny for my 90 integra with a b18c, now how will i go around the vss. Does the old mechanical gear cable mechanism fit where the vss goes into the transmission?

on some the use a magnetic pulse generator, how that works is that there is a ring like the one for your abs with the notches in it and there is a magnetic sensor that over hangs the ring, once the ring starts to spin the magnet is stationary the little notches make and then break a magnetic feild, the fast you go the quicker these signal breaks get closer together and more intense. hope this helps

 

I know how the vss works, my question is, can I use the cable vss into the hydraulic transmission replacing the newer electrical vss.

Can this fit into a hydraulic transsmission?

dont kno what a vss is but if ur tryin to use ur DA speedo into the Hydro Tranny...

i unbolted the sensor off the hydro tranny
and ull see a hole with a metal stick in it
take it out
and stick ur DA speedo in there.

thats what i did.

if ur talking about something else. than sorry for wasting ur time LOL

 

i dont think it really matters between cable or hydro trans. when i swapped my b16 into my DA it had an electronic VSS and all i did was swap the cable VSS in and it worked fine.
