ok guys i need solid factual info here so if youre guessing please dont bother. my friends parent have an auto 91 civic dx w stock d15 and they hit something in the road and cracked the tranny case. everything else is fine but the case is wrecked so i need to know what are options for replacing the trans? will 92-00 civic d series trans work? will an 88-91 d series auto trans work?

i have already tried to convince them to convert it to stick but his mother drives the car and doesnt drive stick

88-91 Civic/crx auto will work fine. My concern with the 92-00 would be the computer.
